Friendship Camp

The Interfaith Center is working with various local faith groups to create the first ever interfaith friendship camp in Arkansas. The camp’s theme is Faith ‘n Friends and it will foster friendships and awareness of other religions among 50 children going into grades 3 through 5 while providing the time, space, and religious teaching for them to learn and honor their own faith.

For its first year, the camp will use Superheroes as a focus for children to encounter the heroes and values of their own faith as well as other faiths. From Monday to Thursday, the children will learn and build relationships through sports, music, art, meditation, reflection, and prayer at this year’s host, St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church. On Friday, the children will celebrate what they’ve learned with visits to various religious places of worship around Little Rock.

When: July 11-15, 2016  – 9:00 am to 3:00 pm (with optional aftercare until 5:00 pm)

Where:  St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church, 20900 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Arkansas

Fee: $55 for the first child from a family and $45 for each additional child
